Analyzing Research Published in the Korean Journal of Military Nursing Research through Keyword Network Analysis

Abstract

|
Purpose: This study aimed to identify research trends in the Korean Journal of Military Nursing Research.
Methods: 1,181 keywords were extracted from 316 articles published from 2006 to present. Descriptive analysis, word cloud, and text network analysis were conducted to analyze the keywords.
Results: The keyword ‘Cadets of Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy’ showed the highest frequency. Text network analysis identified the main keywords as ‘job satisfaction’, ‘military officers’, ‘nursing officers’, ‘cadets’, ‘knowledge’, ‘military medical division’, ‘women’, ‘disaster’, and ‘nursing records’.
Conclusion: The Korean Journal of Military Nursing Research were characterized by the publication of disaster-related research and job satisfaction of military personnel. It also included research on women in the military and reunification. A proper criterion is recommended for presenting keywords in the Korean Journal of Military Nursing Research.
